Axel Peemoeller designed a “way-finding-system” for the Eureka Tower Carpark in Melbourne. When you’re driving in the building, you see directions as you need them. Link -via reddit

    It’s interesting, but the random colors when you aren’t reading a sign are distracting and unattractive, and I’d like to be able to see the exit sign no matter where I’m standing.

    That would kind of freak me out to see the word DOWN just kinda floating in space like that.

    Yeah I’m torn on this. It’s REALLY well done, but I think I might get freaked out a little and be distracted to the point of getting lost again.

    That said, are parking garages that confusing?

    Not at all, but this has more than an utilitarian value and is also done with so little.
