Meet the Senegal birchir aka the dinosaur eel. This amazing African fish has a unique scale physiology that teach scientists how to design better body armors:

    If you will google Dragon skin body armour you will see that this concept is being used. Old news, been there, done that.

    I have one of these fish. The actual name is Senegal Bichir. They are really cool. They have ganoid scales, which are similar to snake scales and they can breathe air! Google or Wiki “Polypterus senegalus” (their scientific name) for more info.
