Insane RC Helicopter Flying

By Algonkin in Toys, Video Clips on Jun 26, 2008 at 6:46 am

This guy has skills. I once tried a RC helicopter once and the results were disastrous. To be able to manipulate all theses servos takes great skills and this dude demonstrates it with the neat clip.
Those moves defy Newton’s Laws of Motion…even at that scale.
Enjoy!

To proudly paraphrase a North American ‘Oh My Gawd’.

Having flown cheap, crap, model choppers, he is very neat.

Reminds me of the erratic movements of a dragonfly, except without the upside down parts.

The NSA should recruit this guy to fly spy choppers.

I’m not entirely convinced that we’re actually seeing something that hasn’t been tampered with.
True, there are some incredibly skilled RC-pilots out there, but this is absurd. Watching that chopper jump around as if it were being yoinked around like a puppet-on-strings is just physics defying.

    @ easy_mac

I work in the RC hobby industry and some of the guys I work with do this sort of thing. It’s called “3D flying” I agree it’s absurd, but it’s real.

They also do it with planes…but those don’t jump around like the helis.

Wow, in that case, I’m astounded.
I’ve seen several such videos and everytime I have my doubts as to how legit it actually is. But, I’ll take your word for it, Simmy!

I have a Blade CP, and it can’t do quite that, although it does have the capability to fly inverted. I’m just not nearly as good as an RC Heli pilot as I am an RC Plane pilot (which I can fly stunts).

This guy is crazy good. And has a crazy good amount of disposable income, and is probably single.

Believe me, he didn’t get that good without crashing a few thousand $$$ in other helis. ^_^

This video just proves that a good helicopter with an experienced pilot can really do! This is amazing!
This reminds me of a full-size acrobatic helicopter I saw, I was stunned to see it do what it did.
