Aryan Outfitters: Old Lady is Tailor to the KKK

By Alex in Fashion, Politics on May 29, 2008 at 1:35 am

58-year-old Miss Ruth is tailor to one of the world’s most hateful (and hated) group, the Ku Klux Klan:

Coming from five generations of Ku Klux Klan members, 58-year-old "Ms. Ruth" sews hoods and robes for Klan members seven days a week, blessing each one when it’s done. A red satin outfit for an Exalted Cyclops, the head of a local chapter, costs about $140.

I didn’t realize there are so many steps in making a KKK robe! I thought it was simply:

1. Take bedsheet
2. Cut eyeholes
3. ???
4. Profit!

it's much more fun to picture the bigots irritating their wives and ruining their wedding presents with eye holes in the middle of their 600 count Egyptian cotton sheets.

i find the understanding and tolerance of the photographer appalling, i would say even complicity!

How can u tolerate a group of people that has no tolerance for their fellow man, ugh.. they are just SCUM!

All else aside, since when is a 58-year-old woman an "Old Lady"?

Exalted Cyclops? Seriously? In most places, that would just be a lame insult.

"Pot, meet Kettle. Kettle meet Pot."

Stupid ideas are fair game, and people who have stupid ideas should be rebuked. There is nothing wrong with pointing out that these ideas are disgusting, stupid, backwards and should be uprooted and destroyed.

This post-modern extreme relativism is ridiculous. Next you'll be telling me that notions of fairies are on equal footing with relativity, or even that the moon is made of green cheese.

Here is to a rational world with reasonable ethics.

Wow she is only 58? She looks like she is 70! Also she doesn't look very happy.

    @Devil's Advocate

so you compare my lack of tolerance for people who have hatred for other people for no reason other than the tone of skin and kill and chase and want to exterminate them, with those people lack of tolerance?

Even for a devil's advocate its a bit far fetched ;)

KKK are scum because the irrational things they believe in and the brutal and racist things they do and did... but why are black people scum? i don't think they are.. so there's no reason to have hatred, or are you saying to me that black people are as bad as people who kill and discriminate for racial color?

do you also tolerate child molesters and advocate for them? its seems you believe so much in tolerance that you should tolerate everything... and one cannot express their disgust for such SCUMS!

LOL at devil's advocate. i think the name says it all. and in all fairness, the person he quoted did walk right into that one with the "how can you tolerate people with no tolerance" statement.

Oh please, everybody knows the KKK is just an excuse for Southern gentlemen to throw on flowing robes and dance around with each other.

    Exalted Cyclops

And isn't another of their titles Grand Dragon or something? And their guide book is the "Kloran"?

I have a reeeeeally hard time understanding how they can take themselves seriously. Bigotry aside (especially in this day and age), they dress and talk like a horrible permutation of a D&D group.

I spoke to you, Ms. Ruth a few weeks ago, but somehow I have misplaced your #, and you sent me the info on how to measure for my robe, I have lost it. I am trying to reachyou to get you to please send it to me again or e-mail it to me. I apologize for the inconvenience. I am in Kentucky, if you remember talking to me.?.
