The video shows level one from Gradius. Don’t worry, it advances slow enough to read everything.

I’ve played Gradius so many times that my mind filled in the appropriate music as the volcanoes erupted. Via these fine sites.

    I wasn’t sure it was possible, but this is even more lame and boring than Gradius itself.

    What? No Konami Code? I watched the entire thing and didn’t see a reference for it.

    I didn’t quite get the Challenger 1984 response.

    Other than that, pretty well done. Very reminiscent of the old Infocom games.

    I only recently played Gradius for the first time on arcade emulator, so this is a pretty fresh joke for me.
