Fat Monkeys Are Going On a Strict Diet

The monkeys in the Ohama Park in Osaka, Japan love tourists. More specifically, the snacks and tidbits they hurled on to the monkey habitat.

So much so that they all got pretty fat, and officials at the park have to step in and put them on strict diet.

wow, that is so sad and unhealthy…and nice use of corpulent. I was kinda hoping frenchify would work its way in.

Anyone who’s ever seen a group of Japanese tourists at a fine art museum can understand how this happened. The concept of not meddling with an exhibit, be it a 500 year old oil painting or an animal with a fragile diet, is completely alien to them.

Their keepers should be fired. How could they have NOT seen these animals getting fat? This WHOLE thing could have been prevented.
