We’ve posed about Nicholas Jones’ book sculptures before, but it’s worth another mention. Here’s an interview with Nick at The Design Files (with lots of photos): Link – via The J-Walk Blog

It makes me hurt a little to think of the books he's dicing, but it's comforting to at least see that they're just as beautiful after as they were before. Maybe even moreso. I could do without Balzac anyway.

Lol 'posed'. Made a mistak on the second word. His work looks really hot tho.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hyperventilates a little when they see books cut up and folded that way. LOL! Those are really interesting.

That's funny. I started a course in paper making, focusing on "artists' books", today. Cool site.

i was impressed by that guy who drew on books to turn'em into artwork. Now this guy is also very impressive.

Books are the ultimate form of media.

Viola and Bonnie, I agree. They may be beautiful, but it hurts me to see books used for any other purpose than reading.
