Sounds like she needs to hire a tube-cleaning company to unblock her internets.

So she gets too much spam, and she wants it to stop. Let's make fun of her for using the word "internet". That's so 90's.

An acquaintence of mine...in his late 70's...had his internet service cancelled because he kept getting offers for Viagra. In his own words "I may be nearly 80 but I don't need any damn viagra. You can keep all that internet hoo-ha."

Now when he calls to see what I'm up to...I just say, "Gettin some hoo-ha."

Reminds me of the letter that was left after the abduction of the jesus statue due to "wiener poopie."

All she has to do is i uninstall, reboot, then reinstall the internets. That should clear up any clutter she has. If she lost the Interwebs.exe I have it on a floppy; she can borrow it as long as she doesn't upload it on a bit torrent. We gotta keep this thing legit, it's serious business!!

I hate it when my internets get all clogged up, but I never quit. The weak get eaten Joyce, the weak get eaten.

hmm... fun in a way, but making too much fun of her isn't all that good. I work with lots of computers and some of our clients are rather slow too, but it's always funny in the situation. i guess if I told here it wouldn't be that good...

I think it's funny but also a bit sad. If we want to help people understand the Internet and technology based jargon we should laugh at first and then explain. That's what I've done with my parents who had a hard time figuring out how to use the Internet and how to use the computer...now after 3 years they are pretty well able to do anything they want after a bit of coaching from me and my siblings. :)

Until 2 days ago we had a client who had a rather modern PC with XP (we don't want to buy vista licenses), however we had to add a 5.25" floppy drive and WordPerfect (the DOS thing) because she refused to work with anything else... <.< however, after having to deal with her for 4+ years i didn't find it funny anymore, I tried to get around supporting her (have you seen the scene in IT Crowd where Roy tries to avoid picking up the phone? THAT's how i feel maaaany times)...

    Alex Fear, I love you.
I've met people who simply refuse to learn, so yeah, you laugh and try to help, but there will always be those who point blank will not learn.

I can not tell you how many times we have had to go over how to get onto the internet with my grandmother. It is a simple point and click sort of deal and, yet, when we go over there every week she asks us to show her how to get on. Frankly, she's a total technophobe and I am shocked she's even giving this a try so you have to give her mad props for trying something so new in her late 70's.

Stop spamming people, Mr. Mike Duncan. We're on to you. Think of all the innocent grandmothers you've mildly inconvenienced.

At least she was able to spell "internet" correctly which is more than I can say for the poster.
