Canyon, the Sand Cat

  We have a small bunch of these at the Cincinnati Zoo. They are adorable if you can see them (they are really really well camoflaged).

  It looks alot like a baby Bobcat except with a tail. It’s so cute! Just want to grab it and squish it!

  I wonder if those are the kind of cat that only wants to eat a few birds, or the kind that will eat your face while you’re asleep.

  Wikipedia says they normally eat small rodents, and stay away from human communities. But I bet they’d break bad on anyone who made them feel threatened!

  I believe Big Cat Rescue also runs a bed and breakfast where you can sleep with one or more of their cats. Cervals, tigers and a couple leopards. I’ll look around to see if I’m correct. Saw the article a few years back in The Orlando Sentinal.

We don’t have the B&B anymore as it is used for our interns who live with us for 3 months at a time.
