California has the Kinetic Sculpture Race and Red Bull has Flugtag. Well, not to be left out, the Twin Cities of Minneapolis / St. Paul have their own thing going: art sled rally at Powderhorn Park.

Part art car event, part extreme sport, part monster truck rally, sleds created by local artists from cardboard, wood, plastic, steel and frozen peas hit the slopes of Powderhorn Park on Feb. 16. An X-Wing Fighter, a wooly mammoth and a whale were just a few of the entries.
