Doorway Found on Mars!

Alexander Novgorodov was browsing some NASA photographs of Mars, taken by the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter spacecraft, when he ran across something peculiar:

There is a strange door-like structure at the base of the mountain formation from a NASA image of Mars that is causing a stir. The first person to notice it wasn’t a NASA scientist, however, but rather a Russian reader of the portal R&D.Cnews, Alexander Novgorodov. Taking a closer look at an image taken by the spacecraft Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, he noticed an unusual morphology, which looks strikingly like a manmade doorway.

Of course, NASA scientists quickly covered it up, saying that the doorway is simply a boring old weather erosion.

I don’t know anything about the scale of the picture, but I am guessing the ‘doorway’ could be as many as 1000 kilometers high and 300 kilometrs wide.

I do not see anything special. I only see a tall rock casting a shadow just like all the other rocks and the entire hill is.

On the one hand after reading that article my nerd side is just annoyed by people who want to try out terraforming projects on mars. When we figure out how to shift the magnetic bands around the planet, then it might be feasible.

On the other, my geek side is thrilled at the discovery of the entrance to one of the underground spaceports of Mars.

The monoliths are on the moon and on Jupiter. None on Mars.

Mmmm. A delightfully juicy conspiracy, indeed! If there were aliens on mars I sure hope they left us a waiting gift when we land and terraform the planet. Maybe a nice martian fruitbasket?

It’s obviously a doorway, it’s got a big purple arrow pointing the way right next to it !
