Rodent Of Unusual Size

A three-pound rat was found in the Foja Mountains of western New Guinea, Indonesia. Experts think it may be a previously-unknown species. It is five times the size of regular city rats, and has no fear of humans. That sounds suspiciously like the premise for a horror film. Link

In Africa, they have the African Giant Rat--it gets up to about 6 pounds.

If you really want to see the ROUS's from The Princess Bride, take a look at a Binturong.

    A cool find, though.

The first thing I was reminded of was "The Tale of the Giant Rat of Sumatra"

Have they looked in New York City yet? If I saw a rat that size I would wonder where the big rats are.

I've seen giant rats in Africa before. They're about the size of a cat.
