    The Segway is actually a spinoff of the ibot: the inventor realized he could use what he developed for the wheelchair to make a scooter.

    and the inventor used it to climb the steps of the Eiffel tower. It holds a world record of the only wheel chair that has done that.

    I saw one of those on capitol hill a few weeks ago….I was surprised by how tall the whole contraption was.
