Real life drama in Tbilisi on YouTube

There’s trouble in River City – and in Tbilisi, Georgia as well. This real video from yesterday is like a scene from a 1970s banana republic coup. It’s sad to see Georgia’s young democracy faltering. Let’s hope that they get things back on track soon! Click here for news stories about the current unrest. YouTube.

Wow! Would be almost surreal if the same thing happened in the States.

I have a friend who is serving the US Peace Corps in Tbilisi right now -- I talked to her mother who said that she's going to wait it out -- I guess the highers-up say that this will probably blow over sooner rather than later. Let's hope they're right.

I heard that over 200 special forces troops stormed the TV station. This and Pakistan - what is the world coming to?
