Fan-Made Scrooge McDuck's Money Bin

Posted by Alex in Cartoon & Comic, Money & Finance, Pictures on October 26, 2007 at 9:33 pm

Norwegian artist Mat Gullikstad of Oldemor Blog created this awesomely detailed model of Scrooge McDuck’s Money Bin, according to a blueprint by cartoonists Don Rosa and Dan Shane.

The building comes complete with three cubic acres of money for Scrooge to swim in. The "coins are all made from cut and painted milk cartons. The money bags are actually peas covered in tissue paper and painted!

Mat has uploaded build photos of the Money Bin to Flickr. This is truly a fantastic labor of love: Link [Flickr Photoset] – via mediabistro, thanks Neal Ungerleider!

Looks kind of like a litter box, there - a very cool litter box.

That is cool. Aside from the physics of trying to dive into and swim through money (ouch!).
