Cannonball Run

By Miss Cellania in Auto & Transportation, World Records on Oct 17, 2007 at 12:41 pm

150_ff_cannonballrun3_250Alex Roy and Dave Maher have set a new record for driving across the US. They covered 2,795 miles from New York to Los Angeles in 31 hours and 4 minutes, beating the previous record of 32 hours and 7 minutes. This was Roy’s third attempt at the illegal (and unsafe) “Cannonball Run”. Link -via Metafilter, where you’ll find more links on this story.

Wow. That’s an average of 90 mph for 31 hours. Amazing.

What a douche bag. All it takes is one simple mistake and he kills some innocent person.

    Ego is a strange thing.

    Yeah,

He should get jailtime just for claiming he did it.

I usually let most small crimes pass, but this is a real big crime.

BTW – My absolute best time for cross country is 69 hours solo and i should have been arrested for that.
