Old-school hipster lomographers are drooling over limited edition White Stripes lomography camera kits – the JACK and the MEG. Each comes with its own custom retro plastic Holga camera and an assortment of accessories like “peppermint” filters and a “Nobody Knows How To Talk To Children” ringflash. The kits are $180 each and look beautiful. Here’s the link to the site where they are on offer – warning, the landing page launches a Flash animation with sound. Engadget summarizes the offering here, with additional photos. Word.

I’m constantly amazed how they can charge high $ for bad cameras and make people want it. It’s (almost) a shame that Yugo and American Motors couldn’t make same the strategy work for them.

Wow. This is an excellent way to pay 180 dollars for an 11 dollar camera.
