SpottheDifferences

This game is not easy (the fifth difference is always the hardest), but its artful and pleasant. Link -via Dump Trumpet

    GOT IT! Spoiler alert!

(in the order I found them)
    1. Building profile (third from right)
    2. “C” in Differences becomes an “O” in second image
    3. Man is reversed
    4. Number of sidewalk segments different
    5. Tree shadow is missing in second image

Easiest way to do this is to simply cross your eyes, as if you’re trying to focus on one of those “Magic Eye” images. It’s a mild cheat and actually looks kind of neat.

I’ve used the same method on clerk exams where you have to sort out the differences between two given addresses (one misspelled, the other not).

I thought that game was never going to end.

Lara, #4 is wrong… but the picture I used as an illustration is not representative of the game. I think one difference had already been solved when I took the screenshot. Follow the link and you’ll get to play screen after screen of these. The game actually moves while you’re thinking! The game corrects a difference when you find one, and keeps count of how many differences are left.

there are more than five differences

    base of sidewalk
    man reversed
    c & o in differences
    tree shadow missing in one
man on bench shadow is darker in one
    building on the right
    Left hand cloud

    thats what I saw
    maybe I’m blind though

Holy moly. I am totally stuck on the guy who is hanging from the bridge…but yet, I cannot give up!

I refreshed a few times, and the pics had different changes every time, well, at least the first one did.

I am stuck on the guy swinging from the building, argh!

I refreshed the first one a few times and every time the differences switched around. I don’t know about the others though.

Of course the 5th one is the hardest! Otherwise it would be fourth (or third, or…)!

Found 5 differences in the picture here. When I tried to follow the link, it said “Service Unavailable”.

    man reversed

    sky scraper ariels missing

    Differences spelled wrong

    paving slab line missing

    tree shadow missing.

    Took about 30 seconds.

    A lot longer to type.

    Do I win a prize?

Did anyone else notice that the creator of this game appears to be a Radiohead fan? (The “Park Area Regulations” part is where I noticed it.)

The animations threw me off, but I did a few.
If you get stuck, just click all over the picture.

Phew……….. finally finished after 20 minutes………. the last one really fucked me up with the stars – I thought I was looking at dust specs on my monitor!
The one with the funky bulging wall screwed me up too, I couldn’t tell that the bricks were different cos I was so taken by the wall!

    Nice ones, these.

You know what? The differences are not the same the next time you play it! So we really can’t help each other out on this.

Ok years working as a Graphic designer has turned me into a real Geek. I count 6 differences. Haven’t clicked on the large link, just viewing here.

    1) Yep the Shadow on the tree
    2) The building
    3) The man in reverse
    4) The path
    5) the typography
6? the shadow under the man is darker in the right hand picture? I know, I’m a looser-lol

I’m stuck on the umbrella one – nuts!

Some of the levels actually change what the 5 differences are. So the 5 someone references above may not be the actual 5 differences when you load the game in your browser.

For the ones I had problems with, I opened them up in Paint Shop Pro, created 2 layers, put them over each other and hid/unhid the top layer to see what changed. Worked great although I know for a fact that I clicked where it said the difference was :(
