   I think baldness is just one of natures markers for identification purposes. I don't fall for the hair replacement industries advertising and marketing rave that baldness is something to be ashamed about, it's not.

   minoxidil worked for the monkeys, but not for me...

   Minoxidil is the perfect drug of choice not only for monkeys but also for Kangaroos and Zebra's. But I am wondering why it is not curing human baldness effectively(may be sex-linked chromosomes).

   I think humans are the only ones that "suffer" from baldness.

   yea the "genetic" component in baldness doesn't necissarily mean inherited,although it could be . the sv 40 virus monkeys carry can alter genes/ that's genetic too .the virus is now known to have been inadvertantly transmitted to humans during the early polio vaccination program. it would be an interesting statistical studdy to see if the occurence of male pattern baldness in humans has been on the rise since say about 1975 or so. " monkeys also suffer male pattern baldness too" maybe its a viral cause , i wonder
