Lost on Gilligan’s Island

Here’s the true story behind the ABC Hit Lost:

In 1964, a dramatic TV series called "Lost on Gilligan’s Island" was filmed. Since it was too dark for a 1960s audience, the series was retooled as a slapstick comedy called "Gilligan’s Island."

Four decades later, the ABC network remade "Lost on Gilligan’s Island," this time remaining true to the original dramatic vision. The 2004 remake was titled simply "Lost."

Cute video. I thought for a second that the story was actually true. Nice use of ‘archival footage’ to achieve the effect. Going to b&w for all of the footage helped to bring all of the types of color together into an even, well, gray.

    Good, onion, try,

Looks like edited clips of the comedic “Gilligan’s Island.” A cute spoof, but far from believable.

    D-uh.

Why do people waste their time making garbage like this? If you’re going to go to the trouble of pasting clips together, at least make it humorous.

Clever idea. Needs some editing to cut the time about in half. I realize they were working with the length of the music, but it dragged. Keeping it crisp and faster paced could “rescue” this bit of spoofery.

I was disapointed to say the least. For a minute I thought there actually was a lost episode.

Being a fan of Lost, I thought it was pretty good.
