Russian Cat Lady Lives with 130 Cats!

By Alex in Animal, Pictures on Aug 8, 2007 at 8:40 pm

This lady in Moscow, Russia is absolutely nuts about cats! She loves homeless cats so much that she lets 130 of them live in her small Moscow flat.

And it amazingly looks relatively clean.

Not only relatively clean, it looks anally clean, even cleaner than my apartment and I don't even have a cat. I do however suspect that she has a room filled entirely with sand considering there are no litter boxes around.

Wow, that was my first reaction too...old lady must have a lot of energy...of course it's possible to live with that many cats in a small space, but to keep it clean is entirely different.

    Sure hope they're fixed.

Not only did my allergies just flare up when I saw this picture but my nose wrinkled in fear. Kitty pee fear!

It's clean because the cats eat everything in sight, including each other's poo.

having the walls and floors entirely covered in tile must help for keeping it clean and in reducing the odor(s. that big window helps too with nice fresh air (when the weather permits).

it must be hard to find new homes for them -- life in Russia is pretty grim these days -- Moscow is now the most expensive city in the world.

Plus, it facilitates throwing tiny tea parties and get togethers.

How would we locate this woman?
I HOPE the pet food industry will send her supplies. However, I doubt they will. I can hope they will do something.
If any of you find this womans name, please email me.
I'd like to send her money or better yet, give her a huge supply of pet food, toys and treats. :)
She's doing God's work. Just think, if everyone had a true heart and cared about innocent creatures, there would be no need to HUMANE SOCIETIES THAT I REFER AS INHUMANE BECAUSE THEY KILL EVERY SINGLE DAY! Animal Controls also murder healthy, innocent creatures daily. Disgusting! If P.E.T.A. cared about ALL ANIMALS..I would have respect for their group. But, it is my belief they only care about publicity.
God Bless this Russian woman. :)

These days call for skepticism. These cats are perfectly groomed, there is not one single cat hair around, and I've never seen cats leap like that. This video is so totally staged. It's fine to present it as something of interest but let's not pretend that woman actually lives with 130 cats.
