The World Worm Charming championship was held yesterday in Cheshire, England. Worm charming {wiki} is the act of attracting worms from the ground, originally for bait, but now also for competition. The world record is held by Tom Shufflebotham, who charmed 511 worms in 30 minutes! Link -via the Presurfer

    Yes, the Fremen of the desert planet Arrakis play this game, too... (In case you didn't "get" it, that's a reference to Frank Herbert's classic sci-fi novel "Dune.")

    tried this on my own and to my disappointment I discovered that I am not even charming enough for a worm
