OH MY GOD! Two guys on ropes kicking a ball on a tether back and forth! OMG how awesome and groundbreaking and cool is that!?

You know, after you get over the sheer, blinding mortal terror of hanging over the edge of a tall building like that, it looks like it might be kind of fun to try.

Yeah, when you get past the novelty factor, it is kinda retarded. Certainly not a "real game of soccer". Yeah, me and the one person on the other team like to kick the ball back and forth all the time...

    How do you score?
    Paycheck.
    ...Oh.

Technically, it's not vertical--the ball is still moving primarily on the x-axis. This has just switched the y and z axes. It's tipped on its side, but it's not really vertical.

That guy who said "In downtown Japan" must live somewhere in downtown America.

Ow, the billboard is awesome though. I'd go sick playing soccer like that. But I suck at playing soccer anyway.

    Downtown Japan indeed!!!
I saw this in downtown Osaka 4years ago, only not 10storeys off the pavement just 4-5. Apart from the guy actually controlling the ball on a tether its nice to watch during your 10minute lunch break!
