Russian ATM with “Unactivated” Microsoft Windows.

Would you trust a bank whose ATM uses "unactivated" version of Windows?

Alex Feldstein caught this Russian ATM with the Windows Product Activation warning box:

"Your Windows product must be activated within 7 days. Do you want to activate Windows now?"

Link - Thanks Alex!

I took the same MS error/alert message on ATM machine, in Bangkok, Thailand and Jakarta, Indonesia

I wouldn’t trust a bank whose ATM uses windows at all.

Most if not all ATM’s use windows…

    They didn’t used to.

My bank’s old IBM ATMs ran OS/2, which was rock solid. Now they have Diebold ATMs running some flavour of Windows.

I haven’t seen them crash yet, but I will not be surprised when they do.
