Addams Family Board Games

Before video games were invented, board games filled their place and often reflected pop culture trends (such as with this Addams Family game). The “Trash Collector”, a purveyor of vintage books and pop culture Memorabilia, has this and about 70 other classic board games for sale. What was your favorite?

Of all his board games, the one I’d love to play is “Pop Yer Top”.

I have no idea what it is, but any game featuring a plastic chicken that ejects its brains (while being labeled “a game of suspense”) is good enough for me.

Whew! I’m not as old as I thought. Barely recognize any of those.

Out of those shown, Landslide was a really fun game. Score Four, Password and Hi-Q were staples in my house also.

I *had* that Addams Family Game! I seem to recall that its slogan was, “whoever wins, loses” or something similar.

I also had that dominoes set, and it was awesome to see that since I hadn’t seen that box cover in, oh, 30 years!

I gave a friend of mine a vintage “Dawn of the Dead” boardgame for Christmas last year. It’s really fun, but very hard not to get munched.

This is cool, because I just started a blog about the vintage board games I played when I was a kid and it’s nice to see others with similar interests!

One of my favorite games was Stop Thief. I also liked Billionaire.
