Nintendo DS Cake.

Of all geeky cakes, this one, well … takes the cake! A Nintendo DS birthday cake that took 15 hours to make:

The base and the lid are 2 separte parts.
The base cake is rich fruit cake so that it is solid enought to support the lid.
The lid is not actually made from cake (not that it couldn’t be done with cake, but to get the right proportions from the size i wanted to do the lid would be too thick if it contained cake aswell) but it is still edible as it is made from sugar.
Lots of strands of dried spagetti were inserted through the middle of lid with excess coming out the bottom. Once the lid had set rock hard the excess spagetti was pushed into the base cake and held in place with lots of very hard royal icing!

I’m sick of “cakes that look like stuff” being made out of fondant. It’s like clay.

Regardless, this is an amazing effort! Good job!

Nice, but honestly I think that would rather be better as furniture than as food, just imagine 15 hours to do that and then 5 mins to eat it lol
