Bring out your dead!
I'm not sure if you were joking, but the linked site describes this as an unmanned rescue robot.

Wow, try reading the article in the link... what a mess (in a funny way).
Are you sure they aren't making that thing to make Soylent Green?
Soylent Green is PEEEEEOOOOOPLE!
Dang! Someone beat me to the soylent green comment.
Wouldn't a bulldozer work just as well?
Ethan is right the site when translated describes it as an unmanned rescue robot, apparently for fire situations.
I just can't help but wonder...exactly what scenario this would have application for? Single bodies are normally handled by a forensics crew. Multiple bodies are generally handled the same way. And what's more, people tend to bristle over such a callous handling of the dead, even if the bodies are people they don't know.
About the only thing I think this would be used by is in the exhuming of mass graves. And even then, only under extreme circumstances.
Perhaps this would be more appropriate for cleaning up roadkill. It'd certainly get a workout on your average Texas highway... :-/

Ok, I just had a horrible vision of this thing being a woodchipper. O_O
Brrrrr.
@Corrine: I had the picture of Santa yelling that outloud in my head from Robot Chicken.
I already saw this on an existing robotics site, it is for grabbing people out of burning and/or collapsed buildings. It was inspired by a child's slide.
Only in Japan...
