Finnish author Hannu Luntiala’s novel "The Last Message" is about an IT exec who travels and communicates only through text messaging. In fact, the entire book was written in SMS!

This sounds like the 21st century equivalent of Gordon R. Dickson's story "Computer's Don't Argue", which is told in form letters!

um claire you got the wrong idea, that is an opportunity to read books over text not a book about text. there is a difference. thing is that this book really does not sound very good it is just getting alot of popularity because it is the first book to be published about text, neato is right it is like Gordon R. Dickson's story. It is a bunch of text not a normally written story viewed in text.
