Buried Car: 1957 Plymouth Belvedere Buried as Time Capsule for 50 Years.

Posted by Alex in Car & Vehicle, Pictures on January 24, 2007 at 12:54 am

Fifty years ago, a brand new 1957 Plymouth Belvedere was buried under the lawn of the Tulsa County Courthouse (as a time capsule - this kind of thing is popular back then), to be dug up this June 15 as part of the celebration of Oklahoma Centennial.

The big question is, will it run or has the car disintegrated into a pile of rust? CNN Article | BuriedCar.com - via MoPo

Here are some high resolution pictures of the car and the items that were stored inside it. Looks like a “fixer upper”
