Inhaling Sulphur Hexafluoride.

    And I thought you have to make a handstand after you inhaled Sodium Hexalfluoride to get it all out of your lung.

    nitrous oxide (laughing gas) does the same thin just not as dramatically. have you ever done a whip-it?

    I wonder what would happen if you breathed helium AND sodium hexafluoride at the same time…?

    (Aside from getting a major case of the dizzies, that is…)

    @Denita.

    I was thinking the same thing. I think it would be more of a squeaky low pitched voice, because the heavier gas would stay longer (hexafluoride) while the lighter gas (helium) rose. I’m no scientist though.

    just one thing… it’s sulphur hexaflouride (SF_6) *not* sodium (Na) …

    Fixed, I knew that – thanks Andrew!

    Oopsie, I also called it “sodium” instead of “sulphur”. My bad!

    Eeh, we were only off by a mere five atomic numbers… ;-)
