    Scary! But that’s nothing like when microwaves were first out and I didn’t know you couldn’t put foil in them.

    It was interesting to see the way the light pulsated on and off as it turned. I imagine it’s related to the information on this page about measuring the speed of light with chocolate chips in a microwave (seriously!).

    That chocolate chip link was an interesting explanation of microwaves and how they work…or rather dont work well at cooking things evenly when they don’t spin the food. I gather if you disabled the carousel and position the bulb in the most intensive part of the wavelength it would probably pop quite a bit faster.
