Or, feeding pigeons is so frowned upon that immediate criminal punishment from the authorities will be to sever your finger and then provide it to the pigeon in a case of closed-loop-irony.

I was just at that restaurant a few weeks ago. They also have signs that say, “Prevent bird obesity – do not feed the pigeons.”

Ha! I was just there too about a week ago. The birds there are ravenous monsters and bloddy pests. Nothing a couple of good falcons couldn’t fix.

that is at pier 39, a popular tourist destination. no one who lives here ever goes there – it’s basically 100% tourist except for the workers.
and as a tourist area, they try to give the place a bit more character, so there’s old-fashioned street signs in some areas, stuff like that.
so basically the sign is a prop for the tourists. granted, the pigeons are a nuisance, but that’s what the smaller blue sign is for

Anybody know if those signs are still there? I understand that the Blue Chip Cookies store is gone now. I believe it was replaced by a Mrs. Fields. Too bad. Anybody know when that Blue Chip Cookies store closed? That photo has to be a few years old.
