Relive The Horror Of Childhood In Among The Sleep

(YouTube Link)

Among The Sleep is an upcoming video game that looks unique and imaginative despite the terribly unimaginative title.

You play as a two year old, who battles their imagination as well as strange forces at work in their home, which is one of the most unique premises for a video game I've ever heard.

Then the trailer reveals that the game will be very atmospheric and spooky, and the manufacturer's blurb claims "surreal creatures and diverse environments will present you with both physical and mental obstacles that challenge your creativity".

Okay, I'm officially excited about playing as a baby character in a video game!

The Iron Man Clothes Iron

This wacky concept design for an Iron Man clothes iron makes me wonder if Tony Stark is narcissistic enough to fill his home with tools and appliances shaped like his superpowered suit of armor?

Or maybe he's just looking for a way to make a few billion bucks by releasing officially licensed Iron Man household appliances and gadgets, so that the comic book fans can surround themselves with his signature red and gold robotic designs.

And does this unit come with a voice box, so it can tell you when your steam setting is ready for use?

The Self Stirring Pot

(YouTube Link)

Are you tired of having to stir while cooking dinner, but you don't want your food to burn? Wouldn't you like to let those pesky stirring muscles wither and degenerate?

Well, then you need the Kuru-Kuru Nabe, a self stirring pot designed by a Japanese dentist to ease your suffering in the kitchen. Watch as it magically stirs your food for you, without you having to lift a muscle.

Now you can sit back and foster that beer buzz while this self stirring pot does all the work for you. Thanks Kuru-Kuru Nabe!

The Terrible Truth Behind Adventure Time

Poor Finn, looks like all those fantastic adventures he's been going on with his stretchy doggy pal Jake have all taken place within his imagination after all.

I hope they don't pull the plug before we get to watch a couple more seasons of Adventure Time, 'cause it's one of my favs!

What's that you say? You haven't watched Adventure Time? Are you a lover of animated mayhem and fantastically colorful fun? Then you owe it to yourself to check out this show, it's the bees knees!

Soccer Goal Celebrations With Dazzling Special FX

(YouTube Link)

Soccer players are a lively bunch, and their celebrations of a scored goal can be quite theatrical.

So, what could possibly make these celebrations even more extreme? Why, the addition of dazzling special effects, of course!

Watch as players burn up the field, set the opposition on fire and knock out a T-Rex all for the love of the game.

Artist Recreates Magazines From Blade Runner

These visions of a strange future where magazines are still in print were created by a Blade Runner superfan known only as Kevin, who may know more about the android revolution than he's letting on.

Blade Runner fans will probably recognize these magazine covers from the movie, while everyone else wonders when these wondrous new mags are going to hit their store shelves.

If you happen to see a magazine with a tagline "Dorgon Invasion!" then you'll know that the future is now, and the electric sheep aren't far behind.

Revenge Of The Sandpeople

I wish this was a poster for an actual Star Wars spinoff in the works, instead of just a really cool poster designed by Sublevel Studios!

Imagine the terror on young Luke's face as the Tusken Raiders emerge from the dunes and surround him, their breath stinking of motor oil and Bantha milk, Luke's force abilities too weak to help him escape his fate.

I guess we'll just have to settle for the what-ifs created by cool fan art, like this poster inspired by horror movie posters from the 60s and 70s.

The Art Of Motion Capture

(YouTube Link)

Have you ever wondered how animators go about making your favorite characters in films and video games move in such a realistic manner?

Well, this video should clear things up a bit. It's the second installment in a series called Good Job, and this episode deals with the art of motion capture animation, specifically as it relates to creating the video game character Eddy Gordo from the fighting game series Tekken.

It's as demystifying and informative as it is fun to watch, and it should inspire those budding animators out there to keep reaching for your dream job!

Animated Short - Mongrel & The Wrath Of The Ape King

(YouTube Link)

This awesome animated fantasy is called Mongrel & The Wrath Of The Ape King, and it took creator Morgan King over six months to animate this two and a half minute long short.

He created it mostly as a way to teach himself how to create rotoscope animation, in an old school Ralph Bakshi inspired style, and from the look of this short he's got a handle on the whole process now!

I'm a huge fan of Bakshi, and the Heavy Metal animated movie, and I think Morgan has really tapped into the same vein with this fantastic short.

A View Of London Reflected In Puddles

Now this is an interesting way to see London-reflected on the surface of a puddle, melding with the street  and distorted by ripples in the water.

Photographed by native Londoner Gavin Hammond, these beautiful pics are like glimpses into another dimension, revealed after a rainy day has washed the grime off the streets.

I would love to have prints of these pics framed and hanging on my wall, they are truly breathtaking!

Her thieving antics have been captured on video by her owners, who intend to press charges against this dastardly dog.

Anatomical Diagram Of The Incredible Hulk's Skull

This anatomical diagram by Glendon Mellow attempts to put scientific data behind Bruce Banner's superheroic transformation from man to Hulk.

However, this chart raises further questions, like does Bruce's skull actually transform? And does this new research illustrate that the Incredible Hulk is actually some sort of modern incarnation of Paranthropus robustus?
