Kid President Grills Pendleton Ward

(YouTube Link)

Kid President asks Pendleton Ward, creator of the animated series Adventure Time, some tough questions about his beard, childhood and friendship.

This video made me wish we could have a kid in the white house for a day just so they can make lots of prank phone calls and hilarious speeches!

25 Crazy Photos From The Olympics Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympics in London will go down in history as one of the wackiest, and most theatrical, displays of national pride ever seen at the games.

There were Ravers, Voldemort puppets and lots of rock n roll. It was brightly burning testament to the fashion, music and creativity of the U.K.

Enjoy this gallery of images from the opening ceremony, they won't make you feel like you're there but they will save you lots of time and money!

Why go outside, risk getting skin cancer and get chewed up by insects when you can live vicariously through these photos?

Marvel Unleashes The All Winners Squad

I was overjoyed when I found out that Marvel is making an animated web series called All Winners Squad, which features Howard the Duck and some lesser known characters like Squirrel Girl, Hypno Hustler and Ruby Tuesday (the dome headed super not the restaurant chain).

This reject squad series looks like it will be a laugh riot, but they'd better do right by that Duck or I will seethe with nerd rage!

Artists Profile - I Am DAIN

(YouTube Link)

Brooklyn based artist DAIN has been creating seriously cool collages since way back, and his style has influenced many artists in the decades since his emergence.

This wonderful documentary profiles the now elderly artist, and sheds light on what makes him tick and what it means to be an artist, all the while giving us a rare glimpse of DAIN's world.

Even though this video is a few years old, it's a must see for art lovers and if you haven't seen it already then it's new to you!

The Avengers Hit The Town

(YouTube Link)

Now that the Avengers have once again saved the world, it's time for a little R&R- running and romping!

Watch as they chase a downright fugly version of Loki around town, pausing to take in the occasional guitar solo or to harass drivers.

The Avengers have assembled, and they are looking a bit disheveled.

Fargo - A Documentary

(YouTube Link)

Fargo is the Coen Brothers movie that had everyone going around saying "dontcha know" and "you betcha!" for a while way back in the mid-90s, and it's so highly regarded that it was inducted into the U.S. National Film Registry for being "culturally significant."

It's one of those rare multi-genre movies that actually works, and watching this making-of documentary made me love Fargo even more than before.

The Giant Kuratas Battle Mech

You don't want to mess with Suidobashi Heavy Industry, or they will unleash their newest creation upon you- the KR01 Kuratas Battle Mech.

Standing 13 foot tall and sporting some rather menacing hardware, this badass million dollar robo-suit might be the future of mechanized combat, once they set it up to fire live ammo.

Currently, the Kuratas fires 6000 BB rounds when the pilot flashes a smile, so you might not be safe even if you're on the pilot's good side.

Driftwood Doilies By NeSpoon

These driftwood doilies make the beach look like it has been invaded by spiders spinning lace webs, adding an air of mystery and a touch of delicate grace seaside.

Created by Polish outdoor artist NeSpoon then placed on wooden scraps littered across Oak Beach along the Baltic Sea, the artist was pleased to discover that the public really enjoyed the driftwood doilies for the week or so that they survived.

Perhaps the lace spiders will return again next year, to produce more eye pleasing woven doilies for beachcombers to admire.

Drowned Soldiers Diorama By Nicolas Cabaret

This neat yet creepy work of sculptural art is titled Baba Yaga, and it tells a frightening story without the need for dialog or moving images.

The colored water effect is quite fantastic, and the whole spooky scene is quite compelling, urging you to create the story for yourself.

Multimedia/graffiti artist TYPOE creates some colorfully chaotic works that really pop.

I stumbled upon his works on the Book of Faces and I thought to myself "Well, color me impressed!"

Calvin And Hobbes GIFs

These awesome Calvin and Hobbes GIFs remind us of how cute an animated series featuring the imaginative duo would be.

They're perfect for sharing, and they don't cost you a thing, so even cheapskates can feel good about giving again...

(YouTube Link)

This is for all you Frisbee fiends out there, summertime is here and it's time to get jammin'!

I have no idea when this was filmed, but it was posted on YouTube oh so long ago (2008), and it's full of sweet moves and an even sweeter soundtrack-the sound of silence!

The guys in this vid are so Frisbee-rific that they show up to the jam session in a limo....'nuff said!

Pack For A Long Weekend In This Handy Vest

This is the Stuffa Jacket, a super storage solution and a new way to travel light.

It may not be very stylish, but look at all the clothes you can pack away in it's many compartments!

Now you don't need to lug around a suitcase, just pack your vest and get lost for the weekend with lots of clean clothes to wear on your travels.

But watch out for drunken nudists and shady bush dwelling vest thieves, they might want to take your change of underwear and leave you out in the cold.
