Batman holds the DC Universe title of world’s greatest detective, and his one man war on crime has made him a well-known figure in the world of superheroes, but is it appropriate to refer to him as a detective?

Detectives must follow procedure when investigating a crime scene, obtain warrants for arrest and definitely don’t fly superpowered jet planes in real life, so maybe it would be more appropriate to refer to ol’ Batsy as a superheroic spy guy.

There are many different degrees of what people refer to as Parkour- some of it involves jumping around and over stuff in the city, other stunts involve taking things a bit higher and jumping across rooftops a few stories above ground.

Flash Gordon is one of those sci-fi heroes who has yet to make the transition into the 21^st century, and yet those who remember the character fondly from the days of yore are always hopeful he will make a triumphant return to the big screen.

One extremely talented fan in particular by the name of Robb Pratt has taken matters into his own hands, bringing Flash back from the dead with this amazing animated short.

Pratt has worked on Disney films like Pocahontas and Tarzan so it’s no wonder the short looks so darn good.

But my favorite part of this short is the fact that it’s not a modernized reboot, because can you truly claim to love a character when you completely change who they once were?

R2-D2 is one of the most beloved characters in the Star Wars universe, and yet he’s often taken for granted by his fellow characters, even though he saves their Rebel butts more than a few times during the original trilogy.

Even a gentle and silly droid like R2 has his limits, and when those greedy litte Jawas push R2 too far he becomes a murderous mechanical madman hell bent on destruction.

There’s a reason Walt Disney is virtually the only name you hear associated with the Disney company- he and his corporation went out of their way to erase certain key players so Walt got all the glory.

It happened to Ub Iwerks, the true creator of Mickey Mouse, and it apparently happened to the man in the middle of this photo as well.

His name is Cornelius Vanderbilt Wood, and he was seen as such an integral part of the Disney empire that Walt referred to him as “son”.

Cornelius was Disneyland’s first employee, he served as the park’s Vice President and General Manager, and yet six months after the opening of the park Wood was gone and quickly erased from the Disney history books.
