Amazingly Dreamy Digital Collages Of Animals

The digital collages created by Sarah DeRemer are delightfully surreal and totally dreamy, but whether that dream is good or bad is purely a matter of perception.

Her works give the viewer a feeling of isolation, and yet the magical elements found in each piece take that isolated feeling and turn it into a sense that you’re watching a scene being performed just for you.

Sarah's works also have a dark yet playful sense of humor that really works well with the animal subjects, since the animal kingdom is full of comedic and tragic moments, which sometimes occur simultaneously.

Darth Vader Attends Comic-Con 2015 To Force Choke Rebel Scum

You may see a dozen or more cosplayers dressed as Darth Vader on any given day during Comic Con, but if you ever see one who can actually force choke you it’s time to head for Hall H!

This year Con attendees were accosted by a seemingly normal Darth cosplayer with a camera who was actually helping the sinister masterminds at Wired seek out and eliminate Rebel scum.

So was Darth's visit the beginning of a full blown Imperial assault on San Diego, or just an excuse for people to act silly on camera? The decision is up to you...

The Faces Of Cyberpunk

The Cyberpunk subgenre isn’t just about mankind losing touch with our humanity thanks to an (often biological) link with machines, it’s also about discovering how we can remain human as tech overruns our lives, and an individual as the mega-corps take over the planet.

This search for humanism in a world where tech is fully integrated into our lives is what comes to mind as I look at these simply wonderful images by Adrian Dadich, a concept artist from Australia.

Adrian's illustrations capture the Cyberpunk aesthetic perfectly, demonstrating how people will look when tech is integrated into their bodies and how these “upgrades” will forever change the standard of beauty.

Why Does Pepper Make You Sneeze?

The human body seems to have some very specific problems with substances we’ve been using for thousands of years, and yet we rarely know why these substances affect us so.

Pepper is one of these substances with a very specific effect on the human body- it makes us sneeze. But why does this cooking spice bring out the ha-choo in humans?

(YouTube Link)

This very informative video by Hank Green for the SciShow explains the pepper sneezing connection and touches on pepper's medicinal properties.

Artist Draws Attention To Illegal Land Development

Trees are one of the Earth’s most precious resources, providing us with everything from healthy soil and oxygen to building materials constructed out of a renewable resource, and yet there are those who don’t appreciate the sanctity of trees.

So how do you make those who would clear cut a forest for the sake of illegal land development realize they're killing a living resource?

Artist Yeka Haski decided to paint the stumps to look like shanks of meat, so the crooked developers would realize "murder without blood and cries is still a murder."

Some may find Yeka's guerilla art stunt to be a bit heavy handed, but it achieved Yeka's overall goal by bringing attention to the fact that land developers had illegally cut down hundreds of trees in the Kavgolovo Forest.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt And Anne Hathaway Star In Strange Superhero Short

Anne Hathaway and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are Hollywood superstars in their own right, and often headline movies all by their little lonesome, but when they pair up and slip on some spandex supersuits it’s a battle for top billing.

Sidekicks is a slick superhero short that premiered on episode 2 of HitRECord On TV, a collaborative TV project created by Joseph. It's comical and stylistically 2D in all the right ways! (Barely NSFW due to language)

Rapper Records Entire Album Inside An Apple Store

You could go on iTunes and purchase your favorite musician’s latest album or you can go to the Apple store in SoHo, New York and hear the whole thing being recorded live for free.

Rapper Prince Harvey has proven that he’s got what it takes to be called an Apple Genius because he saw an opportunity to record an entire album and he took it.

Prince Harvey befriended a couple of the store’s employees and while they looked the other way Harvey was able to use the store’s computers and software to record vocals and beats.

Four months later Prince Harvey had his debut album PHATASS (Prince Harvey At The Apple Store: SoHo) ready to share with the world, and you can listen to a few tracks on Harvey's Soundcloud page (contains NSFW lyrics).

Comedian Drives A Giant "Love Butt" Across The USA

Comedian Kurt Braunohler wasn’t looking to become the butt of anyone’s jokes when he decided to tow the 14-foot-tall “Love Butt” across the country- he was shooting a pilot for a new show on Comedy Central called “Better. Dumber. Faster. With Kurt Braunohler”.

However, he probably should have let people know that he was filming a show, because people started freaking out when they saw a giant tattooed butt come rolling into their town.

(Image Link)

Okay, so people didn’t really freak out, they actually had a good ol’ time with that giant butt, and the butt looked happy about all the attention too.

(Image Link)

And what does Kurt plan to do with the butt when he’s done filming the pilot? He wants to leave it in his mom’s driveway as a surprise gift. I'm sure she'll crack up!

Man Walks 645 Miles To San Diego Comic Con Dressed As Stormtrooper

Some people will do anything to attend Comic Con, and I'm amazed every year by the commitment some make to attend the show no matter what.

For some that commitment means spending lots of money, quitting a job or suffering from a debilitating injury while walking the floor, but for one man his commitment means walking 645 miles- dressed as a Stormtrooper.

(YouTube Link)

Kevin Doyle made the 645-mile walk from Petaluma, California to San Diego Comic Con in memory of his late wife, a fellow Star Wars fanatic who passed away from cancer in November, 2012.

Since then Kevin has founded a charity in her honor called Eileen's Little Angels Foundation, and he's using his long walk to the Con to show love for his wife and raise some money for a good cause.

Ingenious Ways To Chop An Onion

Chopping onions often brings a tear to the eye and a knife wound to the fingers, leaving us feeling like there's got to be a better way.

People make products they peddle on TV, but those don't properly chop onions either. What we need is a better way to turn that bulb shaped vegetable into a bunch of tiny rectangular pieces without shedding a tear.

(YouTube Link)

Well, here comes the harshly named YouTube channel You Suck At Cooking to show us not one, not two but seven new, and totally ingenious, ways to chop an onion.

You can dice it, electrify it or simply throw it against the wall! They're all guaranteed to work, but don't hold me to it...

The Latest Online Trend To Backfire Spectacularly - #DontJudgeChallenge

(Image Link)

Do you ever feel like those online challenges and hashtag trends are a big joke? Well, prepare to have your feelings reaffirmed, because the latest hashtagged trend is the #DontJudgeChallenge.

Participants in the #DontJjudgeChallenge give themselves unibrows, acne and blacked out teeth before dropping a big reveal bomb on viewers by showing how hot they really are under all that black ink.

(YouTube Link)

It was supposedly created to discourage body shaming and make people feel better about how they look, but it ultimately just looks like they're making fun of people with acne, missing teeth and unibrows. Way to go hashtaggers!

Jim Carrey Falls Down

Even though Jim Carrey takes himself mighty seriously these days he’ll always be known for his slapstick comedy, which he delivered to the world on In Living Color, and later in movies like The Mask and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.

Being a slapstick comedian means using your body to make people laugh, and during the course of his career Jim Carrey has taken some mighty funny falls to keep audiences rolling in the aisles.

Here’s a supercut collection of Jim Carrey falling down, which was put together by purveyor of fine slapstick Shawn Kohne. It's four minutes of fall down fun-larity!

Amazing LEGO StarCraft II Model That Took A Team Three Years To Build

LEGO crafts are totally out of control these days, with bigger and better looking models being made every day by average bricksters like you and I.

But if you want to create something truly spectacular you’ve gotta team up with some fellow bricksters and go all out for, say, two or three years.

That’s how long it took a team of LEGO builders from the U.S., Canada, Belgium and Norway to build this amazing, 14-foot-long StarCraft II model, which they recently unveiled at Brickworld Chicago.

The images and following video were shared by part of the team Siercon and Coral, who have lots more images for you to peruse in this Flickr gallery.

The tiny pics don’t do this model justice, make sure you check out this video to get a really good look at this really good looking LEGO model!

Would You Like Sharks Better If You Met Shark Wahlberg?

(Image Link)

Sharks have a bad reputation, and hundreds of razor sharp teeth that help support the rep, but they’re not trying to be mean when they chomp down on you.

They're just performing a monologue, swimming around showing you the lay of the undersea land while keeping it #sharklife, and #sharklife includes some chomping, and some complaining, but mostly chomping...

(YouTube Link)

This video by Animation Domination High Def, released just in time for Shark Week, asks whether we would like sharks better if they acted like Mark Wahlberg, and to that I reply "Agh, what ever happened to Jabberjaw?!"
