Whenever a trailer for an upcoming movie is released online, especially if it's part of a geeky franchise, the Internet's populace posts a response.

Sometimes it's a tweet or two sharing thoughts about the trailer, sometimes it's a response video which will inexplicably get thousands of views, but whatever the method of delivery the responses are typically chock full of funny.

For thousands of years people have been mowing their overgrown fields and reclaiming the land with a little help from their trusty scythe. The scythe made reaping, mowing and cropping plants a breeze, and it was so stupidly simple to use that anybody capable of swinging a scythe could help out with the yardwork. 

Along came the string trimmer, also known as the brushcutter, weedwhacker or weed eater, which failed to fully surpass the scythe in terms of functionality and gave us a new set of problems we didn't have with the scythe.

This footage from the 2010 South West Annual Scythe Festival proves three things- weedwhackers suck at whackin' weeds, a British Scythe Champion earns his title the hard way, and we should go back to using scythes because they look way cooler and they're way more efficient!

Kevin Spacey is constantly reinventing himself as an actor, tackling new roles with a zeal that proves he's in it for more than just the money- he has a need to succeed that stems from his dark family history.

According to Spacey's older brother Randall Fowler (who also happens to be a Rod Stewart impersonator) he and Kevin grew up under constant threat of assault from their American Nazi father Thomas Geoffrey Fowler.

Thomas allegedly physically and sexually abused Randall but left Kevin alone, and the emotional damage caused Kevin to cut off all ties with his father and take his mother's maiden name of Spacey.

This story first broke ten years ago, shortly after Randall was interviewed by Sharon Churcher and revealed details of his family's tragic history that were previously thought to be nothing but idle gossip.

I'm not sure why this story is making the rounds again but if you haven't heard Spacey's dark backstory it's news to you!

Relations between the U.S. and Cuba seem to be getting back on track after more than fifty years of distrust and bitterness between the two nations, but not so long ago America had big plans for Cuba.

These plans generally involved intimidating, harassing and undermining the Cuban government into submission by using psychological warfare to turn Cubans against Castro.

The American government came up with all kinds of odd ideas, like doctoring photos to make Castro look like a fat glutton, terrorizing the country with sonic booms and multicolored rain, and dropping one way tickets to Mexico so Cuba's citizens could flee en masse.

Luckily global relations won out, and the American government decided not to carry out most of these poor spirited plans so they wouldn't come off looking like the bad guy.

For every round of smash battling there must be a victor, but who woulda thought that little yellow furball Pikachu would be the one to come out on top?! It's impossible to tell from this pictorial portrayal of the battle's end but Mega Man actually did all the work, defeating every other opponent while completely disregarding that electric poke-rat.
