Welcome To Monster Town

Cute and creepy go hand in hand when you visit Monster Town, a colorful new kid's book created by Ryan Heshka.

Here's what Monster Town is all about:

As soon as the sun sets on Monstertown, creatures of all kinds go to work. So hop on the Ghoul Bus and see for yourself who inhabits this ghoulish town. Dr. Cyclops, Postmaster Skeleton, Frank N. Stein, Dr. Mummy, Captain Witch, and many other monster friends—including a junior monster-in-training—will welcome you with open arms!

Sounds like a ghoulishly good read for Halloween!

A Cute Little Critter Dressed As An Ewok

One good thing about dressing up your youngster like an Ewok for Halloween is they look cuter without makeup or a mask.

If the real Ewoks were this cute the Empire wouldn't have wanted to harm a hair on their adorable little heads!

Awesome Dog Costumes Inspired By The Movies

Seeing dogs in costumes is one of our favorite things about Halloween, but haven't we all seen one too many dogs in a Hot Dog costume or sports jersey?

It's time to improve canine costuming by drawing inspiration from popular culture, like this gallery of dogs all dressed up and ready to star in a Hollywood movie.

There's a little bit of crossover with other doggie costume galleries, but I'm sure you won't mind seeing these cute pics one more time!

Homemade Star Wars Costumes From The 1970s

Just because Star Wars cosplay is extremely popular today doesn't mean people weren't dressing up like their favorite characters when only one or two of the films had been released.

Star Wars has been big from day one, especially as Halloween costume inspiration, and every kid with space in their head and a bunch of tinfoil was trying to make their own R2 unit.

Check out all the groovy getups in this gallery of retro photos and you'll discover that Star Wars cosplay has come a long, long way since the good old days!

Human Motorcycle Body Painting

Talk about your well designed vehicles! These mean street studio machines are sporting four manpower engines and a bold look that'll make people say "whaaaaa??!"

Extremely flexible folks are painted and posed rather precariously on top of one another to form each bike shape, and they come in three varieties-sport bike, dirt bike and cruiser.

Because of the level of detail, and difficulty of model positioning, each shot took a day to complete, and if you want more info on how they turned man into machine watch the process video found at the link below.

Creative Costumes For Babies Too Young To Walk

Enjoy the fact that your baby is too young to walk by dressing them up in ridiculous outfits and taking lots of pictures for the interwebs.

You can make them look like a taco, or a box of Triscuit crackers in a picnic basket, or cover them in yarn noodles so they resemble a pot of spaghetti or...wait, there's a strong food theme going on here, isn't there?!

Resident Evil Theme Park Attraction Opens In Japan

The wild, mutated zombies from the Resident Evil video game franchise have invaded the Universal Studios Japan theme park, and no man, woman or baby-shaped morsel is safe from those infected by the T-virus.

Each night until November 11th the park is transformed, via props, 3d projection mapping and an invasion of costumed characters, into places found in Resident Evil, such as an Umbrella Corp. building and downtown Raccoon City.

Adventurous eaters can grab a bite to eat at the Biohazard Cafe and Grill, and there are even some shambling stage shows too rotten to miss. Now that's entertainment!

The WTF Wagon Is The (Un)Official Car Of Halloween

This wicked looking car is known as the WTF Wagon, and the driver clearly lives life as if every day is Halloween.

It claims to be fueled by baby juice, but we're pretty sure that the WTF Wagon actually runs on the fear emanating from drivers and pedestrians that encounter this beast on the road!

You Want To Dress Up Like Who For Halloween?

This Halloween be a good parent and a good influence at the same time- don't let your kids dress up like Charlie Sheen!

This may seem like a no-brainer, but you'd be surprised how many young men want to follow in Charlie's winning footsteps, and don't we all wish we had tiger's blood running through our veins?

Iconic Horror Movie Houses Recreated In Paper

Paper artist Marc Hagan-Guirey combines principles of origami and papercraft to recreate horror movie houses in miniature form, like this blue edition of the Overlook Hotel from The Shining.

He calls his works Horrorigami, and each of these impressive pieces were made using a technique called kirigami, where one sheet of paper is both cut and folded to achieve this spook-tacularly sharp look.

Even Freddy Krueger Has Nightmares

Who, or what, could give scarfaced slasher Freddy Krueger nightmares? Why Kirby, of course! That jiggly little ball of fluff is so cute and cuddly that he makes Freddy afraid of all those feelings welling up inside him.

Artist zillabean has this to say about their illustration:

The only thing a Dream Stalker fears is a Dream Warrior.

'Nuff said!

27 Costumes That Would Have Made Your Childhood Self Proud

Adults dressing like their childhood heroes is a Halloween tradition, but the Kidults in this gallery have taken nostalgic costuming to a new level.

Nicktoons, and other iconic kids show characters, will never be the same after you see what they look like as grown-ups, and they're not as cute as I'd imagined they would be...
