John Carpenter has been bringing our nightmares to life on the big screen since the 70s, but before he sat in the director's chair he sat in the recording studio and cranked out some killer tunes.

He created the iconic soundtracks for the Halloween films, Escape From New York and Big Trouble In Little China, and in his new music video John revisits the score he created for the 1983 movie adaptation of Stephen King's Christine.

The music video for Christine was created to advertise John Carpenter's latest audio release Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1998, which will be released by Sacred Bones on October 20th, just in time for Halloween!

Stevie Nicks has always seemed like a pretty chill lady, and her rock star image was pretty tame compared to many of her contemporaries in the 70s and 80s.

But as mellow as she was Stevie had no problem pretending to kick ass when her Australian bodyguard Bob Jones asked her to pose for pictures for his self defense book aimed at women.

She showed up to the shoot wearing some free flowin' flower print number and platform boots, making the pics of Stevie Nicks fighting Bob Jones even more priceless.

Bob's book Hands Off! was released in 1983, and he should be proud of the photos whether sales of the book were boosted by Stevie's presence or not, because Stevie must have really liked him to appear in his book like that!
