A Pillow That Wraps You Up Like A Cozy Taco

This delightfully taco shaped pillow thingy is called the Blandito, and it kind of resembles a human version of a doggy bed when laid flat.

When it's time to get all cozy, you can use the attached loops and balls to make the Blandito into the soft fluffy shell shape, and you become the snuggly taco fillings....sweet dreams!

Comedy Video - Too Much Olympics

(YouTube Link)

If you've already had it with the 2012 Olympic games, then you'll relate to what these goofy puppets have to say in this comedy video entitled Too Much Olympics.

It warns us about the dangers of having the Olympics broadcast on television year round, and the horror of including an event called the Truffle Shuffle!

Have you ever wondered how close the U.S. got to being attacked by the Nazis during World War II?

According to a recent discovery about 70 miles off the coast of Nantucket.

The German U-550 submarine was sunk by a coordinated barrage of depth charges, deck guns and a fierce ramming by the USS Gandy, and we've been looking for the remains ever since.

Incredibly Detailed Sculptures By Kris Kuksi

Artist Kris Kuksi creates "mixed media assemblages" from, among other things, various bits of model kits, including the stuff that's usually discarded.

His works are chaotic scenes of wonder, full of cyber-Rococo style and bold, iconic figures lurking within a landscape that resembles a post-apocalyptic junkyard.

Kris has cemented his place as an artistic superstar, with over 100 exhibitions and multiple awards under his belt, and the fact that Kris has a quote about his works from Guillermo del Toro on the front page of his website is pretty freakin' impressive!

Batman Stop Motion Animation Made With Action Figures

(YouTube Link)

The one thing this stop motion version of the Batman: Dark Knightfall trailer's missing is moving mouths on the characters.

It was made using hyper-realistic action figures from the Hot Toys line, and the figures give surprisingly good performances!

It's good to see the Heath Ledger version of Joker again, even if only in toy form.

A Public Service Announcement About Spiders

(YouTube Link)

Dan Lucal would like everyone to know that "a lot of people die because of this and I would like to alert the public of it."

You might be wondering what this is....the answer- spiders in your shoes!

Thank you Dan, because of your heroic public service announcement I won't be caught off guard by those pesky shoe dwelling spiders ever again.

The Wizard Of Oz Starring Gary Busey

Let's all petition Hollywood studios to remake The Wizard Of Oz, except we'll make them cast Gary Busey in each and every role.

Flying Busey monkeys, Busey faced munchkins, and Glinda Busey the Good Witch, oh my!

I wonder if this will spawn a Tumblr dedicated to images with Busey's face 'shopped on everything- let the insanity begin!

Animated Short - Mountain

(Vimeo Link)

This animated short is called Mountain, and even though it was created with minimalist vector shapes it's rich with depth, animated motion and expression.

It was created by David Prosser of Studio AKA, and it was inspired by a trip he took to Seoul, South Korea.

I really like the character designs, and the story kept me entertained until the very end. Enjoy!

Playground Designed By Friends With You

A mall in Hong Kong has a playground designed by art collective Friends With You, and I am soooooo jealous!

Not that I'd fit on any of the playground equipment, and I guess it would look a bit creepy if I was just hanging out digging on the whimsical candy striped playground.

I guess it's better if I experience the Friends With You playground experience on the interwebs after all...

Portable 3D Printer In A Briefcase

(Vimeo Link)

This is the PopFab, an all-in-one 3d printer, precision cutter and CNC mill contained in a sturdy briefcase.

It was created by MIT researchers Ilan Moyer and Nadya Peek, and it represents the next step forward in 3d printing- portability.

If you have stuff to print but need to stay mobile the PopFab will come with you, ready to spit out bits of extruded plastic wherever you go.

Morphing Figures By Joram Roukes

These edgy artworks by Joram Roukes depict characters that appear to be in the middle of morphing into something else entirely, an abstract concept which works quite well with Joram's style.

It's all at once messy yet detailed, looks like a collage yet is fully painted, and the blending of realistic and cartoon styles make them really pop on the canvas.

Custom Built Warhammer 40K Servo Skull

This awesomely gruesome Servo Skull sculpture was created by Spooky777, who used a medical skull model to give it a realistic edge and plenty of ewww factor.

In the world of Warhammer 40k:
SERVO-SKULLS are drone-like devices fashioned from human skulls [...] and then given a rudimentary Machine spirit, support systems, and anti-gravity engine to allow them to hover and drift bodiless through the air.

If nothing else, this sculpture will make for a great conversation piece!

Hair + Architecture = Hairchitecture

The project known as Hairchitecture presents the challenge of combining hair and architecture into an extremely geometric cut.

Ranging from downright silly (pictured above) to much tamer stepped cuts, this Hairchitecture thing will probably catch on at salons across the globe, then there will be nothing left but to shave our heads!
