Bird Removed From Chinese Zoo For Screaming Obscenities

The next time you, or someone you know, is having trouble with a temperamental bird just be glad the little feathered bugger isn't screaming out a bunch of obscenities!

A zoo in Hubei, China got a big surprise when their Myna bird started screaming obscenities, which it had picked up from one of the zoo's guests according to zookeeper Li Yun, and had to be removed from display until his vocabulary could be deemed appropriate for all ages.

The bird may not be zoo friendly, but he has a great career ahead of him as an insult comic.

Minimalist Group Portraits Of Cult Movie Characters

Illustrator Ale Giorgini creates works which are so densely packed with cult movie characters it's hard to find all the characters present in each frame.

Ale's style is reminiscent of the Genndy Tartakovsky cartoon Samurai Jack, and his use of simple color palettes ensures that each piece will fit in with any kind of swanky decor you've got going on at your pad.

Vintage Illustrations Of Alice In Wonderland By Salvador Dali

Just when you thought Alice in Wonderland couldn't get any more psychedelic, we drop these illustrations by Dali on you and your mind is officially blown!

Here's more about this amazing series by Dali:

In 1969, Salvador Dali produced a stunning series of illustrations for Lewis Carroll’s classic children’s tale Alice in Wonderland—in Brainpickings’ words, it was “a collaboration of epic proportion”.

These illustrations were then published in book form—containing all twelve drawings, one for each chapter—and went on to become one of the most highly coveted art book of all times.

The artist managed to render the dream-like content of the story even more surreal with his vivid and colorful signature style in this rare collectible tome.

A copy of this sought after book was last seen on Amazon, retailing for a hefty US$12,900—luckily for you, you can see all the digital prints of the illustrations right here without paying a cent.

Apparently 1969 was a very good year for tripping out!

Cardboard Neon Genesis Evangelion That Actually Transforms

The days of making simple papercraft figures are over, thanks to this Neon Genesis Evangelion themed cardboard figure that actually transforms.

It looks a bit rough around the edges, but once you see it transform from robot to vehicle and back again you'll never think of papercraft the same way again!

Gundam Box Guy, Now With His Own Action Figure

When your cosplay costume sucks so bad that they make a custom action figure based on you, maybe you're doing something right after all.

Gundam Box Guy has officially made a name for himself in the annals of cheesy costumes, and now the kids at home can pretend to be homeless Gundam pilots too!

Predator And Xenomorph Share A Moment

Sometimes cruising the galaxy looking for your next kill can get you down, and all you really want is a big old hug.

Even races which are at war with each other can find time to talk about peace and embrace in the fact that they're both disgusting alien creatures to the human eye!

Scary Good Trick R' Treat Costume

Trick R' Treat is a horror film about a sack headed boy named Sam who seems kinda cute on the outside, but is actually a rather devlish little fellow who shows his neighborhood the dark side of Halloween through the usual murder-and-mayhem formula.

Sam's blank button eyes and odd mannerisms make him the perfect subject for a Halloween costume, and we're sure to see more people dressing as Sam, for Halloween or otherwise, in the coming years.

In the meantime we've got a frightfully good example by cosplayer Straywind, who decided to trade in her cute cosplay outfits for one that's a bit creepier.

Catbus Cosplay...You're Doing It Wrong

If Mei and Satsuki had been subjected to this version of the Neko Bus in My Neighbor Totoro, they probably would have run out of the forest screaming in terror.

Any costume based on a character from a Studio Ghibli film should be cute and charming, not creepy like the above example of cosplay failure!

Gender Swap South Park Kids

Awww, these girls look so cute dressed up as the kids from South Park that it's almost impossible to imagine a string of obscenities pouring out of their mouths!

Maybe they can show those South Park boys the error of their ways...

This Dog Ain't In Kansas Anymore

Her owner may have dressed her up like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz for Halloween, but that doesn't mean she has to be happy about it!

At least she's not dressed up as Toto, being toted around town in a basket while her owner enjoys another drunken Halloween out on the town.

Grumpy Cat Pasties Are The Worst

The Grumpy Cat phenomenon has officially jumped the shark thanks to these custom made GC pasties, which protect against inadvertant nip slips with that signature scowl.

At least the creator Montabahn is donating 50% of the proceeds to SPCA International, so that some good has come from this fashion travesty.
