Spoof Ads Imagine Louis C.K. As Calvin Klein Spokesman

Fans of comedian and show creator Louis C.K. are aware that his initials don't stand for Calvin Klein, but Louis gets asked that question so often he's sick and tired of explaining that there's no relation between his initials and the fashion designer.

Even though there's no connection between the comedian and Calvin, it's fun to imagine what a CK One advertising campaign would look like if Louis C.K. was the spokesman, and that hilarious premise is the basis for a new spoof Tumblr called Louis CK One.

With ridiculous ads that feature Louis posing where only super toned supermodels have posed before, this is one site that's sure to bring the laughs- at least until the premise runs out of steam.

MakerBot Toy Lines You Can Download And Print

One of the greatest things about the 3D printing revolution is that everyone’s ready and willing to share their creations. Those who are busy making models to be printed aren’t looking to make a fortune on their creations, they’d rather contribute to the cause by sharing their creations with the world for a low price, if not free, via download.

MakerBot has just released a bunch of different toy sets which can be bought for cheap via their website then printed at your leisure- if you're lucky enough to own a 3D printer. The sets range from super kiddie Chunky Trucks to fun retro styled sci-fi rocket ships in the Cosmic Cadets series and, my personal favorite, the fantasy series Dragons of Glastonbury, and at ten bucks a set they're just begging to be purchased, printed and played with!

Behind The Magic- The Visual Effects Of Pacific Rim

(Video Link)

Audiences were blown away by the incredible CGI visuals in Guillermo Del Toro’s sci-fi flick Pacific Rim, so it comes as no surprise that they were created by one of the best visual effects companies in the biz- Industrial Light & Magic.

ILM spent two years creating the mind blowing viz fx for the film, and boy does their time and effort show in the finished product! Here’s a treat for both fans of the film and those who are interested in a behind-the-scenes peek at how ILM creates their digital magic-a three and a half minute long peek at how digital effects brought the dystopian world of Pacific Rim to life.

(Video Link)

He’s the animated spy with sophisticated style, a drinking problem and enough one liners to fill a little black book, he’s Sterling Archer and his appropriately titled animated series Archer has been blowing away audiences for four seasons with their raunchy adult humor and twisted view of the world of spydom.

With Archer coming back in 2014 for its fifth season, fans are craving a taste of what Codename: Duchess has in store for them this time around, so to tide you over Uproxx has put together a supercut of Archer’s greatest moments in witty repartee with Seven Minutes of Sterling Archer’s Best One Liners. (Video Link)

Just because you wear clown makeup, base your entire life around rappers Insane Clown Posse, and were once considered thugs by those who mistook your face paint for gang affiliation, doesn’t mean you don’t want to find a Juggalo or Juggalette to call your own.

Now, there’s juggaLOVE, a dating site that caters to clown faced lovers who just want to kick back, down a few bottles of Faygo and get crazy with a fellow face painting superfan.

Shot Putters Must Be Strong And Make Crazy Faces

The strain, the concentrated effort and the energy behind that heavy ball of iron thrown across the field by shot putters during competitions make the moments right before the shot is put priceless when they’re captured on film. But unless you record every Olympic event on your DVR and play back the seconds before the toss frame by frame you're not likely to catch these fleeting moments of facial madness.

Thanks to some fine folks from Reddit you can bask in the glory of shot putter's facial expressions with a series of candid photos, taken at just the right moment to capture all the greatness of those who launch iron balls for the sake of glory.

Star Studded Short Film- STRUCK

(Video Link)

Short films usually have a pretty simple premise, and wait until the bitter end to deliver the punchline, twist or moral message.

However, Struck doesn’t really need to keep you in suspense until the bitter end, and as you watch knowing what is bound to happen eventually the comedic moments present themselves naturally, and the very simplistic storyline unfolds organically as you watch a guy try to go through life with an arrow sticking out of his chest.

Aside from the wonderful simplicity of the film, Struck also has a star studded cast which includes Jenna Elfman, Nancy Cartwright, Kelly Preston and Ethan Suplee as that big baby of love Cupid.

Printable Mad Men Paper Dolls Of Joan And Megan

Fans of the hit AMC television series Mad Men know that the characters Megan Draper and Joan Holloway are the most fashionable characters on the show, and they love showing off their designer retro style whether at work or hard at play getting their drink on.

With the show about to start its sixth season in January 2014 AMC thought you might like to play along with Megan and Joan as you watch them on the small screen, so they're re-sharing a printable pair of paper dolls from season 5, which were illustrated with true retro flair by artist Dyna Moe and based on costumes made by Janie Bryant.

Now you can print out Megan or Joan and dress them up in stylish 60s outfits, or leave them in their underwear, just like in your dreams!

It's A Good Thing Pokemon Isn't A True Story

(Video Link)

It’s best not to think about what Pokemon would be like in real life, the mortal ramifications of enslaving poor little creatures then forcing them to battle in arenas for human fame and glory, not to mention the toll roaming the countryside in search of animals to enslave would take on your life.

But if you still feel like you’ve gotta catch 'em all, and you’re willing to sacrifice your human dignity to become a Pokemon master, watch this video and see if a dose of stark animated reality doesn’t change your mind.

Animation Domination High-Def presents Scientifically Accurate Pokemon, or one way to scare the Pokemon lover in your life into giving up the Pokeball and getting back in touch with the real world. (NSFW due to language)

Disney Princesses As World Of Warcraft Characters

Disney Princesses are usually depicted as dainty, delicate and dressed to the nines, except for Mulan and Pocahontas who are much tougher than the rest, but what would these animated ladies look like if they grew up in a world of unending warfare?

They’d have to be more concerned with kicking butt than looking good, and some of them would probably ditch their fancy ball gowns in exchange for a higher damage per second rating and a better defense spec.

Spanish artist LiberLibelula had been playing way too much World of Warcraft while watching Disney movies when inspiration stuck, and now her fantastic mashup illustrations are taking the interwebs by storm. I doubt a Warcraft/Disney mashup will ever happen, but wouldn't these character designs look great in a future Kingdom Hearts title?

Franz Kafka- The Video Game

(Video Link)

Now you can truly say “this video game is Kafka-esque” without sounding like a vapid hipster, because The Franz Kafka Video game is on its way to your Castle. You will feel the Metamorphosis as you attempt to survive The Trial of playing this game, deep in Contemplation about Amerika and The Judgment of your friends if you’re unable to beat the game.

This brainy game was developed by A Hunger Artist by the name of Denis Galanin, a Russian game developer whose previous game release was based on Hamlet and who would probably write A Letter To His Father if he ever stood Before The Law, accused of making a mindless game.

Techno Thriller And Terminator Prequel- The Awareness

(Video Link)

Here’s the story they didn’t tell you in The Terminator movies, TV shows and video games, the story of what happened when a hapless janitor came across a sentient Skynet AI warning of impending doom, and all android hell was about to break loose.

The Awareness has a slow build to the end, and very little sci-fi tech considering it’s supposed to be a precursor to The Terminator, but the creator of the short film, known simply as Henry, tells the tale nobody ever knew they wanted to see, and does it with a gritty edge befitting the computer program that caused the fall of humanity.

Kids Who Have Mastered The Art Of Hide And Seek

Playing a game of hide and seek as a child usually involved hiding from the other little kids who were hiding along with you and would give away your position by talking, either that or finding a hiding spot so ultimate that nobody ever came looking for you and you eventually had to pack it in and say "I'm off to guzzle a juice box-game over!"

The kids in this series of photos, however, live by a very stealthy motto- the best place to hide is in plain sight, and they’re trying to perfect their ninja vanishing skills before they hit the playground, in case they need to make a quick getaway from whoever is IT.

Abandoned Detroit Parking Garage Turned Into Street Art Gallery

(Images via Sam Rodriguez/Photo 313)

The Library Street Collective underwent a massive endeavor, dubbed The Z Project, to turn a 10-story parking garage in Detroit into a place for street art lovers to hang and take in the pieces rendered on the walls by street art superstars Dabs Myla, Pose, Revok, and Maya Hayuk, just to name a few.

In keeping with street art tradition, something the Banksy-ites seem to have forgotten, the walls won't be torn down because the pieces aren’t for sale, they’re simply there to admire, inspire and make your eyeballs perspire. And once the artist decides their piece has had their time in the sun they can paint over it and create a new masterpiece.

Using Sand To Cast A Hexagonal Pewter Stool

(Video Link)

Metal casting can involve a lot of expensive equipment, scorching heat and a lot of know-how, or you can simply do what artist Max Lamb does and bring your supplies to the local beach in Cornwall, England and cast stuff in the sand.

Max uses primitive sand casting techniques, essentially making a mold by digging out the shape in sand then pouring molten pewter into the sand mold to get his finished product, which has a shape and texture co-created by Nature.

His simple, whimsical works hearken back to a time when the end result didn’t have to look like it was computer generated, and casting in metal wasn’t seen as an archaic discipline.
