The very first wheel carved by Smendoral Oogenthrop of Klanduk cave in Omo, Ethiopia. Created 2.1 million years ago, this piece was first an artistic installment entitled "Thurgondifal Cherisamot" (translated into current language: "Things I Made With Rock"). The work was originally thought of as the crazed folly of a backward-thinking humanoid. Only when this particular piece was accidentally dropped, causing it to roll down a small decline, was the true potential of the invention realized.
