As a sculptor, I totally understand how he doesn't want to be disturbed/interrupted while in the midst of a project. The muse/impetus for the project is slight, overbearing and easily removed from one's midst IF one is not focused enough to complete one's project! Leave us be until we are done. Okay?
I happen to have surveillance cameras on my property, now. I never thought I would need them but, being in a rural area, I had people who thought walking on my land was A-Okay, and it was NOT okay to just trespass on other peoples' property! I even had someone think it was fine to cut down the rope that held bird feeders with a razor. After we installed cameras we never, ever had another incident. I just don't understand why some people think it's just fine to do whatever they want to do on somebody else's land. I know these perps would be outraged if I showed up in the middle of the night to do something on their property they would find objectionable. THINK, people! Would you want someone invading your property? Of course not! So don't do it to others!
I saw an article of a man who was constantly having his packages stolen so he put his dog's doodoo in a box and left it on his porch. About 4 days later some guy comes and grabs the box and runs off with it. I hope he enjoyed his 'gift' as much as this man's dog enjoyed making it for him.
I wanted a chemistry set and a glass blowing kit. Never got them. "Those are for boys" was the typical mom-block for girls as "You'll shoot your eye out" was the classic mom-block for boys.
I think directors 'think' that a shaky camera look is supposed to be more life-like. As in 'real' people taking photos, etc. as opposed to something staged by a film crew. Well, IMO, give me staged anytime because I have NO desire to watch a shaky camera movie and having to leave a movie half way into it. Ever.
Does anyone else get 'car sick' from frenetic motion in movies? The last movie I saw that had jerky movements also involved a Godzilla-like monster and I had to leave the theater before I got sick. Guess I won't be seeing this movie.
Just TRY living in the deep South after living way up North and you will truly appreciate the cold northern weather. I moved deep south 7 years ago, my biggest regret to date, and I miss the snow. I miss the smell of apples in the fall and the maple leaves turning their glorious colors. I miss my kids/grandkids jumping in piles of leaves and then, later, burning the leaves and popping foil wrapped potatoes into the embers to cook and feast upon later in the evening. The potatoes have a flavor unlike any restaurant can recreate! Oh, how I wish I were back up North...
