It makes me sooo happy and - I really have no greater word - maybe, 'verklempt' to say how much this kindness means to strangers that they did not know and yet wanted to tell these people how happy they were for them and hoped this child's future was a great possibility for him.

There were no 'snakes' driven from Ireland. They were the Irish people who were pagans and wore snake tattoos and the goodly saint had most of them killed, the others were driven away from their homeland. The 'saint' was quite blood thirsty, IMO.

Yeah, I would have gone for Gale in a heartbeat, too. Peeta was just sooo needy.

WHY is it always (mostly) fat men who want to pose in their underwear? Where's the eye candy for us ladies??

I carried both of my kids for 11 months. The first one the doctors said they had 'miscalculated' the time frame. Nope. The second one went the same time frame and the doctors finally agreed that I was just a longer term carrier. Problem was that the babies were very big by the time they were born. The first was nearly 8lb. My second was 9lb 10oz. I had wanted 4 kids but I was going in the same direction as my grandmother. Each of her 4 kids were 2-3 pounds heavier than the last. The last kid weighed 13lb 6oz. Nah, I'll pass.

Poor, poor Alan. Perhaps you, too, will find a really old lady's chest to sleep on. Life is full of surprises.

Poor kinkajou who will never live among the trees and find a mate to have some more kinkajous. Now all it will be as just a 'pet', destined to live it's life of abstinence until it dies.

I think that's truly a lovely and very kind thing to do for men who wanted to enlist but could not. It took away any stigma that might have followed them during WWII. Canada seems to be a more thoughtful country than the USA, IMO.

My father used to raise chickens. He had different types of hens. He said the Polish hens were often called the Easter Egg chickens because of the lovely pastel colors of their shells. Blue, turquoise, orange, peach, rose pink, green and yellow. Not sure if his info was correct but it was really cool to boil the eggs for Easter dinner and invite guests to the meal where they would marvel over the eggs and always ask if they could take a few home with them to show their friends.
