I have a very large painting that I painted and it was in my art studio situated on the second floor of my house. It was hung on a wall above a filing cabinet. On the cabinet was a very big crystal ball. The studio had large windows and a smaller half moon window high up on the wall. I was sitting in my studio working when I smelled smoke. I searched the room and found nothing. My husband was in his office next door and he, too, smelled smoke. We searched the room and found nothing. About 3 weeks later I happened to be looking for something in the cabinet and noticed my painting had a large burn mark in it. Apparently the sun shone through the half moon window and magnified the crystal ball and burnt the painting! I still have the painting with the hole in it.
I have NO idea why America can't make the same product that Japan can make. Perhaps because it is too easily produced in Japan and can't be as easily manufactured in the States? It just seems a crime that the US can't offer a product as advanced as a Japanese product can produce.
My mother caught me looking into the tv screen (the tv was not turned on at the moment) at my reflection. I was 4 at the time. She told me that if I stared long enough I would see the devil peeking around the corner. I still have a horrible phobia about looking at my reflection in a mirror to this very day. Thanks, mom.
I bought one. It was such a cheap thing. Poorly made, it resembled the paper gowns you wear at the doctor's office, only it didn't have a slit up the back...
I am so sorry for all of the people who perished in that hotel. May they RIP. I can only imagine how many people have applied to adopt these sweet pups. They are beautiful and I am so glad they survived the avalanche. At least there was a small ray of sunshine from this tragedy.
I went into anaphylactic shock after being given an I.V. dye for a CAT scan. I was lucky the needle was still in my arm and the head of the medical clinic was still in the building on a late Friday afternoon. I don't wish that on anybody. I hope they can find something to help this poor woman (and her husband).
Well, I am not sure if I should say anything about this article since I seem to annoy some people but here goes... IF you char the garlic it will taste bitter. IMO, these pictures of 'roasted' garlic are overcooked. Anything beyond a golden color for garlic is not worth eating unless you enjoy bitter tasting garlic. Roasted garlic is very easy to make in the oven using a muffin pan. Cut off the 1/3 top of the garlic bulbs, brush olive oil and kosher salt on the top of the remaining bulbs and roast in the oven for 15 minutes at 375 or until golden colored. If they are still not ready place another muffin pan on top of the other pan and check every 5-10 minutes until soft. The bulbs should be squeezable and easily come out of their skins, being spreadable like a soft paste. Layer it on baked potatoes or on crispy small bits of toasted bread. Yummy
Neatorama seems to have a keen interest in promoting all things Disneyland and Disneyworld. I wonder why? I, personally, refuse to have anything to do with Disney 'anything' since I intensely dislike them suing small mom and pop pre-schools who have the audacity to paint Mickey or Donald Duck on their schools' outside walls for copyright infringement. Yeah, Disney is really cool and happy, right? No, I don't think so... This site could easily focus on Universal, Orlando and give them some major props. They don't seem to be quite so manic or negative to people.
