When, over the last 10,000+ years, have humans not known that dogs can sense when we are stressed? Everyone knows this but I guess we have to have researchers put their seal of approval about their findings to let us all know that dogs can sense when we are stressed. and upset To me this report seems outdated by 10,000+ years.

Maybe it's just me but that cat looks like she's had enough. That baby bobcat is almost the same size as the foster mother cat. When I lived in Louisiana (not ever again. ever.) I had a bobcat in my backyard. It liked to look in our back door window. Such a beautiful animal. Truly beautiful.

In Michigan we had a brewery company that took it's time making their beer in small batches. The flavor could vary from batch to batch. It tasted wonderful, very dark with a hint of molasses flavor to it. Now companies are so concerned with cranking out their wares as fast as possible that the richness and uniqueness of a product rarely gets to shine anymore. Such a pity. Some thing are worth waiting for.

I won't eat onions if I can see them in my food. A food blender is perfect for me because I can pulverise the veggies into a smooth sauce to eat. That said, I really like onion rings in batter not bread crumbs. I just pull out the onion and toss it away and I enjoy the crispy batter. Bread crumbs? Nah. I'll take a decent beer batter for my onion rings.

Hey, Colin, my dad was a master beekeeper. Here's something you might not know about bees. When a bee stings you the stinger pulls out from it's body and the venom sac comes with it. It will continue pulsating so you want to remove the barb and venom sac asap. Usually tweezers work best but using your fingernail and scraping the barb and sac away from your skin will work, too. I know, that's old news. Here's the new news. After the barb is removed put a drop of honey on the skin where the sting site is. Put a bandaid on top of that to prevent you getting sticky. Why the honey on a bee sting? Because the bee makes it's own anti-venom. The honey will immediately stop your skin from stinging. It works. I got stung and my mom did just that for my sting and it was like magic!
