Rick Mercer's "Talking to Americans" did a similar thing years ago. Google it if you want to be amazed/depressed, depending on which country you're in.

If releasing a seat belt is an issue (plane, car), how about one that automatically releases a few seconds after a crash? Say, triggered by the air-bag sensors in a car crash, rapid deceleration in a plane.
Nothing like jumping on the bandwagon. Bad enough all the media hype on a disease that has killed fewer people in North America than, well, pretty much anything ever.
