Child Safety (Temporary) Tattoos

Imagine that you're taking a five-year old to a state fair. He runs off into the crowd. You can't find him; he can't find you.

Well, Beckie of Infarrantly Creative has a fun idea that could help. Tag your child with a temporary tattoo featuring your cell phone number. She has a template, which you can find at the link. Apparently there's such a thing as temporary tattoo paper, and you can run it through a regular inkjet printer. That's the only thing you'll need to purchase to implement Beckie's plan.

Luxury Baby Jacuzzi

When your baby first sees that plastic tub that you picked up at Walmart for $15, he'll wonder if he was accidentally switched at the hospital. A more refined choice is this ceramic whirlpool bath by BluBlue. Sure, it's $3,200, but that's the price you have to pay to keep up with the Jonses' baby.

Bunny Bottom Pancakes

"He dug a hole, but he had dug only a little of it when Frith came over the hill alone. And he saw El-ahrairah's buttom sticking out of the hole and the sand flying out in showers as the digging went on. When he saw that, he called out, 'My friend, have you seen El-ahrairah, for I am looking for him to give him my gift?' 'No,' answered El-ahrairah, without coming out, 'I have not seen him, He is far away. He could not come.' So Frith said, 'Then come out of that hole and I will bless you instead of him.' 'No, I cannot,' said El-ahrairah, 'I am busy. The fox and the weasel are coming. If you want to bless me you can bless my bottom, for it is sticking out of the hole.'"

Easter is over, so mark the Blessing of El-ahrairah with these pancakes by Farmlife Chick. They'll be a fine complement to the bunny face pancakes.

13-Year Old Stops a School Bus After the Driver Passes Out

(Video Link)

The driver of a school bus in Fife, Washington had a heart attack while driving. The bus began careening down the road and might have crashed disastrously, if not for the quick thinking of 13-year old Jeremy Wuitschick. He jumped in the front seat and brought the bus to a full stop.

The video above is pretty amazing. Jeremy really did respond instantly and intelligently despite being taken completely by surprise. The time between the driver's heart attack and Jeremy has his hands on the wheel is under ten seconds.

9-Year Old Builds Arcade from Cardboard Boxes, Gets Flash Mobbed

(Video Link)

Caine had the summer to hang out in the back of his father's auto part store. He was bored, but he was also creative.

Caine loved arcades. He couldn't pass by one without stopping inside to play. So he built one inside the store.

Oh, it was just cardboard boxes, cut up and taped up. But they were reasonable approximations of arcade gaming cabinets. It was time to open for business!

Got a dollar? That'll earn you four games. Got two? Then you get a Fun Pass! That's five hundred games.

Still, no one was interested, except for one man who needed a new door handle for his car. Independent filmmaker Nirvan Mullick knew a bargain when he saw it and bought a Fun Pass immediately. He also used his connections to drum up some business for Caine. This is the story of how he did it.

How to Make Bunny Pancakes

Before I looked at the tutorial, I tried to figure out how Jenni Price made these amazing pancakes. How do you make one pancake multiple colors?

Here's what you do: apply your batter with squeezable bottles. Do so while the griddle is still cold. This lets you create an outline for your rabbit face, which you can then fill in while the pancakes are warming.

Pregnant Belly Casting

Kelley of Enter Gently is a mother of six children. During five of those pregnancies, she made plaster casts of her belly as keepsakes. The lower photo shows her son Ever inside his own cast. If you'd like to make your own cast, you can find Kelley's instructions at the link.

Toddler Climbing Like a Pro

This 22-month old girl wants her stuffed animals. But they've been put up high on a climbing wall!

Not a problem.

Custom Baby Rattles Shaped like the Silhouettes of Mommy and Daddy

Russell Greenberg, a designer who lives in New York City, makes custom objects that look like the silhouettes of specific people. His own wedding ring, for example, has the outline of his wife's face. My favorites, though, are the baby rattles that look like parents.

12-Year Old Completes World's First 1080 on a Skateboard

(Video Link)

Tom Schaar is only twelve years old, but he already has bragging rights for life. What did you do when you were twelve? Because this kid broke a world record. He's the first person to ever do a complete 1080° turn -- that's three full rotations -- on a skateboard. He did it this past Monday on a ramp at a sports camp at Tehachapi, California.

This little guy is bushed. It's time for a nap, and the fact that he's standing up in skis won't deter him.

Tron Baby Stroller

David Delony of Walyou's first thought was "Tron." That's a good interpretation, but Bhautik Joshi is actually going for the classic lowrider look. He plans to add rims and hydraulics next.

Secret Passage in Back of Wardrobe Leads to Hidden Narnia-Themed Playroom

A friend of redditor kelseypolo built a new house that has a secret playroom decorated with images from The Chronicles of Narnia. His nine-year old daughter can access it through a small passage hidden in the back of a wardrobe. Awesome! You can view more pictures at the link.

Naturally, some redditors have more puckish ideas about what to do with it:

If it was my kid, I would let her have the room until she starts to lose interest in it, and then I would quietly cover the back of the wardrobe and seal the room. Eventually, she'll want to go back to Narnia, but all she'll find is an ordinary wardrobe and a solid wall behind it, and I will maintain that the room she keeps talking about never existed.

Admittedly, this is probably why I should not have children.

Baby Holster

Baby Björns are cute and practical but...well, they just feel odd at the range or the stockyard or the tractor pull. Andy Herald has a great solution that should go into immediate production.
