It's taken fifteen years, but Dr. Evil's dream has finally come true. In April, marine biologist and TV personality Luke Tipple attached a 50-milliwatt laser emitter to the dorsal fin of a lemon shark.
Can the shark control the laser beam? Not yet. The march of technological progress is a slow one. But we, the human race, are finally on the move.

You know what Neatoramanauts love? Baby animals. Ya'll coo and giggle at the sight of little baby animals making their way in the world.
And we aim to please. Here are 25 baby emperor scorpions hanging out on their mother's back at the Cincinnati Zoo. You can watch a video of them at the link.

Fox hunting -- at least as it was traditionally conducted with dogs -- has been illegal in the United Kingdom since 2005. You can be hunted with the old ways, if you like. But if you want to take down a fox, you'll have to work with UK Paintball. For £400, the firm arranges for you and your friends can chase a man in a fox suit through the woods.
And if you catch him? UK Paintball is vague, so it's probably safe to assume that you can keep him.

Stéphane Bureaux's candle is not wax, but chocolate. Place it in the center of the cake and light it. In a few minutes, you'll have a pool of hot chocolate syrup contained by only a wall of chocolate cake. You can figure out the next step.

When it's time to stamp a postcard, you'll need to use the best equipment for the job. That's when Melvin the Magical Mixed Media Machine goes to work. This cute Rube Goldberg machine by the art collective Hey Hey Hey stamps postcards effectively but not expeditiously. Watch the video at the link.

Developing a beautiful bonsai takes a lot of time, which we don't have. So let's get immediate results with this inflatable version by the design duo WabiSabi. Their Air Bonsai won the 2012 JAGDA Award and, more importantly, doesn't require much attention.

Charles Moyes and Mengxiang Jiang, students at Cornell, used an EEG headset as a gaming interface. Concentrate and the paddle goes up. Relax and it goes down. So it's like Wii, but less physically taxing.

MatthewP and Monica Garcia's LEGO version of the opening to Game of Thrones really works. Stop-motion animation is a good way of duplicating the clockwork movements that you see as cities and towns emerge from the map.

Sonia of The Healthy Foodie has a great party idea. This eye-catching pineapple is actually a mound of cream cheese mix covered with pecans and topped with the shoots of a pineapple.

The Sharper Image's motion sensing candy machine is cute. But practically speaking, how much candy do you go through for it to be useful? Stuffing it with ammunition is better for everyday use. That's why the blogger North filled his with .22 LR rounds.

Six years ago, Yoshihiro Okada developed a new art form. He takes whole tangerines, scores them with a knife, then peels them in one piece. The peels, like the horse above, look like animals. He can create eighty distinct animal shapes and sells books to show you how to do likewise. Watch a video of Okada at work at the link.
